Good Day
Life is short and you need to make the most of every minute!
Living life with two wonderful children and a wife who supports my crazy adventures is the perfect combination.
Our Little Project in Action!
Traveling the world, and living among the people has defined who I am and where I want to be. About six years ago, after traveling for business, I sat down with a past high-school instructor and spoke about how we can change the lives of teenage students. Knowing todays youth are surrounded by electronic conveniences and limited social difficulties we developed a program to show hands on developing nation culture, poverty, and the associated challenges with day to day life. The project called “Hatzic 2 Habitat”, selects the youth not based on grades or ability to afford the trip, but solely on how the experience will positively effect their lives. Students come from all walks of life, with no one eliminated due to their families financial position. We travel to Central America, remove all daily communication electronics from the students and provide simple living conditions, local foods, and the tools required for the physical work in order to build strong safe storm proof housing for the local population. Our trips are not religious based – which is unique, allowing youth from any background to participate.
Seeing the amazing effects our project has had and will continue to created is inspiring, whether it is the fundraising students have done after graduating in regards to future social projects, coming back to assist future students reach their goal, or changes in career and educational paths due to their experience, have been the driving force to reach our yearly financial goals. Not just the six homes we have donated and built with our own hands in El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
